Testimonials & Reviews
Mathew Waters gives an outstanding performance as a heavily eye-lined emo style Moritz – again vocally strong his performance is as heartfelt as it is powerful.
Mathew has been the absolute rock of the show. His contribution and unwavering professionalism has not gone unnoticed by everyone. We will sing his praises to the rooftops.
The entire cast exudes playfulness with their characters, without patronising their young audience. With a score developed by Lynn Ahrens and Stephen Flaherty, the charming numbers Green Eggs and Ham and A Person’s A Person No Matter How Small are amongst the most memorable.
To escape The Grinches at Christmas, Seussical will whisk you off to the world of the imagination – to Solla Sellew!
Seussical The Musical – Arts Theatre – West End
The mischievous wicked Wickersham monkeys – Philip Scutt, Joe McCourt and Mathew Waters – are among the highlights of the show. Watch out for Waters
Mathew Waters engages as the anxious, troubled schoolboy Moritz, who was governed by his strict father and tormented by his bad grades. However, it is Lauren Aviah Clarke’s depiction of Ilse which stands out. Her solo performance for Blue Wind is mesmerising, her vocals are beautiful and combined with Moritz’s I Don’t Do Sadness leaves the audience completely gripped.
