It started in 1998 and has included Round The Twist, Snobs, Oliver! The Musical, Spring Awakening, casting for the BBC, The Sound Of Music, the very disturbing Own Worst Enemy, the Steven Spielberg and Tom Hanks production; The Pacific, the West End Premiere of Seussical, Blue Water High plus much more. Feel free to browse and drop me a line if you wish. I'm now back in 'the lucky country' after 6-years living and working in the UK and I'm back working in the business I love. I've already started casting again and I'm also discussing a couple of projects that will see me back in front of the camera. Have Fun
I have worked in casting for more than 6 years including an engagement at the BBC in London in their casting department.
I have been Casting Director for Feature Films and Commercials and I have previous experience as a casting assistant for TV on such shows as Casualty (BBC), Doctors (BBC), Dani’s Castle (CBBC), The 4 0-Clock Club (CBBC), Charlie & The Alien (CBBC) and The Knot to name a few, I have worked on a number of feature films and had responsibility for casting juvenile actors. In addition to this, I have cast numerous TV commercials and have also cast musicals.
I have also worked as 2nd AD and Grip plus numerous other duties.
I am PC and MAC literate, have a good telephone manner and am used to, booking actors in, arranging script sides, co-ordinating castings and making offers as well as putting actors on tape.
I live just 10 minutes from Central Sydney and am available at short notice.
I am happy to work long hours and don’t quit until the job is done. It’s also worth mentioning that I am particularly strong working with children and managing their parents, creating a relaxed atmosphere to get the best out of the children for the session, these skills of course cross over when working with adult performers.
References and my CV are available upon request.
I have a very strong work ethic and commit 100% for as long as I am needed.
Here are just a few of the people I have worked for so far:
Matthew Waters gives an outstanding performance as a heavily eye-lined emo style Moritz - again vocally strong, his performance is as heartfelt as it is powerful. http://www.whatsonstage.com/blackpool-theatre/reviews/04-2013/spring-awakening-salford-_495.html

Mathew has been the absolute rock of the show. His contribution and unwavering professionalism has not gone unnoticed, by everyone. We will sing his praises to the rooftops.
Kieron Vanstone, Producer, Goosebumps Alive
The entire cast exudes playfulness with their characters, without patronising their young audience. With a score developed by Lynn Ahrens and Stephen Flaherty, the charming numbers Green Eggs and Ham and A Person’s A Person No Matter How Small are amongst the most memorable. To escape The Grinches at Christmas, Seussical will whisk you off to the world of the imagination – to Solla Sellew! Verdict: ****

Seussical The Musical - Arts Theatre - West End The mischievous wicked Wickersham monkeys – Philip Scutt, Joe McCourt and Mathew Waters – are among the highlights of the show. Watch out for Waters

Mathew Waters engages as the anxious, troubled schoolboy Moritz, who was governed by his strict father and tormented by his bad grades. However, it is Lauren Aviah Clarke’s depiction of Ilse which stands out. Her solo performance for Blue Wind is mesmerising, her vocals are beautiful and combined with Moritz’s I Don’t Do Sadness leaves the audience completely gripped.springawakening
